Hello my friends! As spring simmers and we prepare for a sizzling summer, it’s time to get into the fashion of sundresses, maxi dresses, and open-toe sandals – my favorite time of the year! This season, expect to see bold colors and bright colors making a statement in every outfit. Classic styles are getting a modern twist with contemporary elements.
I feel like I haven’t dropped into Abercrombie in just a minute, so it became top of my list for a Spring/Summer haul.
I tried everything right from the box to give you an unfiltered first impression reaction and review of the material, fittings, thickness, length, and general clothing style.
For reference, my sizing info: 5’8” and usually a US M/L or 8/10.
1. Strappy Slide Sandal
I chose this ecru color because it’s a balancing tone that goes with nearly any warm weather outfit, especially when paired with strappy sandals. Its multiple thin straps keep the sandal elegant and secure.
They also come in black and are made of synthetic material, so you can get them wet without worrying about ruining them.
That makes this sandal an all-purpose fashion item to go with every dress in this haul. This summer, you need to choose some ride-or-die shoes for comfort and style.
2. Classic Point Toe Low Heel Booties

Also, in a soft cream color to stay on theme with the airiness of Spring/Summer are these classic booties. I love that they have a zip on the side for easy wearing instead of a pull-on.
The booties have a tiny square-off heel that’s a mix between a thin and block heel. Even though the description says it’s 2¾, it does look like it’s 1¾” high.
Either way those are acceptable heights in my book.
3. White Lined Linen Trousers
White | 12 or 31 Tall ( I exchanged for a 33) | Body:100% Linen / Lining:100% Cotton
Can we say Spring/Summer without white wide-legged trousers to remind you of Sunday brunches?
I picked these white linen trousers up in a 12-tall, and they turned out too small for me. So if you’re my size, you may want to get the size 14 tall.
The inseam is 30” which turned out to be perfect, even for my tall height. There’s a tabbed waistline that makes it look like a regular trouser waistband with buttons and belt hoops. You can also get it in a summery blue or black.
And the best part is that you don’t have to worry about your underwear showing because of the lining! I am so happy to find a properly lined white linen!
They feel and look great, apart from me picking the wrong size, which I just sized up one for the perfect fit!
4. Denim Trucker Jacket
White | XL | Shell:78% Cotton, 22% Lyocell
Here is a little secret about this one.
It is for my mom, but she won’t mind us trying it on for the haul. So let’s not tell her 😉.
I got it for an affordable $100 from Abercrombie, and it comes in three colors (it was last seen ON SALE under $70!). This one is extra-large, so it gives a relaxed look. I love that it has silver buttons and flapped pockets with a classic collar that’s not too big, small, or weird.
I feel like a size down would’ve fit me better, but I’m sure this would fit my mom better since she’s larger chested than me.
5. Linen Blend Skort
Black | M TALL (I sized up to a LT)| Elastic:76% Polyester, 24% Elastane / Body:53% Linen, 47% Cotton / Lining:100% Cotton
Let’s take a twist on the classic Little Black Dress with this linen mini dress with shorts underneath. It has a square neckline and adjustable straps, a summer staple and so versatile.
I got this in a medium-tall and couldn’t zip it all the way up. So, this isn’t the best fit for the dress, but I think it’s adorable as a great beach or pool coverup.
It comes in different colors and patterns, including floral prints. So, it’s very Spring/Summer. If you don’t want to wear a bra, you can get away with it because the top is thicker and has texture and has some shearing.
I really like the length, and it comes with pockets! I ultimately got this in a large and it is great!
Crochet-Style Summer Maxi Dress

Handmade clothing is in style!
This crochet two-toned maxi dress sure to be one of the best summer dresses. With a relaxed everyday wear vibe for the warmer weather days.
Not that forgiving of a style or color, for me. So for styling it, when I wore it out finally, I simply added a third layer and magically it is stunning. Even if you have some extra weight in the midsection like I do.
I picked this up in a tall length and it sweeps the floor! Just stunning.
And it has an underlining that stops at the knee so that you don’t need an additional slip. It’s the perfect summer slip-on with no buttons or zips, making it comfortable and effortlessly stylish.
I did end up getting this in an XL for a bit more room and paired it with a denim jacket, got SO many compliments it is unique! I am certainly picking it up in black as well, which just came back in stock!
Smocked Bodice Floral Maxi Dress
Red Floral | Medium Tall | Elastic:70% Polyester, 30% Rubber / Body:85% Viscose, 15% Nylon / Lining:98% Polyester, 2% Elastane
I call this a classic Spring/Summer dress, and you can see why. The bright red with pink floral patterns is really pretty and timeless.
The straps are adjustable and tie, which allows you to be creative. And the best part is the flowy cut, which is so comfortable.
I don’t have to suck in my tummy or wear a third-layer or body shaper, and that’s what Summer is all about.
The material is a little thicker and not see-through. Perfect!
You’ve got to keep looking for the perfect cut until you find what suits your body type and THIS IS IT!
8. High-Neck Column Maxi Dress
Black | Large | Lining:100% Viscose / Body:83% Modal, 17% Polyester
This one is pretty conservative and modest, which makes it versatile. You can style this basic dress with a belt or put a blazer over it to elevate it from minimalist to extra.
You can wear your belt on your waist or higher to give you a flattering silhouette. The material is very lightweight and has a lot of movement.
Although it’s silky, it’s not silk.
Also, the top area has a lining that doesn’t extend to the waist down. So, you should wear a slip to cover yourself in the sun. But it’s a lovely classic.
9. Scoop Neck Slip Midi Dress
Cream Pattern | Medium Tall | Body:100% Polyester / Lining:97% Polyester, 3% Elastane / Elastic:73% Polyester, 27% Elastane
At this point, I realized I’m not an Abercrombie medium because this dress didn’t zip either!
Unbelievable and a little saddening, I couldn’t fit several of these properly. But that doesn’t take away from its beauty! This midi dress has a zipper with a hook closure and adjustable spaghetti straps.
It’s lined and has no pockets, but the paisley pattern gives some forgiveness and it a fitted silhouette with a thicker material. I’ll definitely swap it for a large one to get a perfect fitting.
10. Lace Trim Strapless Maxi Dress
Black | Medium Tall | 100% cotton
This 100% cotton strapless dress is the perfect Spring/Summer essential.
It has a shirring on the top and a little ruffle with some lace inlays on the bottom. It comes with straps if you’d like a different look and also has pockets.
I love all the details on this dress because it gives the dress a pretty definition, and as a fan of solid colors, the plain black tone makes it a summer staple.
11. Seamed Linen-Blend Midi Dress
Sunny Yellow | Medium Tall | Elastic:76% Polyester, 24% Elastane / Body:53% Linen, 47% Cotton / Lining:100% Cotton
Another solid color beauty I love in this haul is this sunny yellow midi dress. It has a paneling that gives it a flowy definition.
Even with its lining and thick material, this yellow color is still slightly see-through. So, you have to pick a seamless underwear to avoid lines showing. You can wear a regular bra with a square neckline.
So, even if it’s basic, it’s a classy style.
12. Denim Column Mini Dress
Black | Medium Tall | 100% cotton
This gorgeous denim dress is pretty conservative in the front with a small slit on the back but minimalistic overall.
There’s no stretch, pure thick cotton is what you get here. Oh and no pockets unfortunately, but I am sure that is to keep a sleek silhouette.
Overall, it’s a very pretty dress, great quality too!
